The Gallery: unusual venue hire in London

Looking to hire a slightly different venue? Are you looking for a venue for a photoshoot, a workshop, your next exhibition or event? There's nothing quite like our triple-height Gallery space, adorned with industrial heritage. When you've had enough of hiring bland 'boxes' for your events, consider the Forge on the Isle of Dogs. A unique piece of architecture, nominated for a New London Award, it's an unusual venue to hire in London.

Grade II listed, the building dates back to 1860 and the golden age of British shipbuilding. Retaining many original features such as ironwork, original cranes and chimneys, a sympathetic renovation has breathed life into the Forge once more. And what a building it is!

It's awash with natural light and offers exceptional acoustics (we host classical music events here). You'll enjoy hosting from this magnificent space, with high specification facilities available.

The Gallery is on the ground floor of the Forge and enjoys disabled access from the street. The interior retains original, exposed brickwork, whilst a two-storey beech plywood construction houses 600 square feet of seating – perfect for audiences or additional display space.

The dramatic, or presentation space is vast, measuring 1,000 square feet. Six large, south-west facing feature windows, coupled with huge skylights ensure ample natural light throughout the day. And yet you'll also have spotlights, set up on adjustable rigs.

The Gallery is an exemplary event venue to hire in London. A warm and welcoming environment with creative style and exceptional facilities. We've thought of everything to make this unusual venue memorable and enjoyable.
I’m a content creator and I use the Gallery for numerous projects involving photography and video but I also run workshops in fashion and food photography. The Gallery space is the best space I have used for such projects. The natural light that comes through the windows in summertime is incredible and the seated audience areas are great for workshops
