Rose established a new workshop at Creek Creative in Faversham, Kent after many years of running a production workshop & teaching ceramics.
The natural forms of the North Kent Marshes where she lives provide her with much of her inspiration. Rose's work is handbuilt using porcelain & crank, and a variety of techniques such as tearing and manipulating thin sheets of porcelain almost to their breaking point. Rose is currently experimenting with combining sprigged natural forms with textures from found objects. Although some glaze is used, Rose relies on oxides, coloured clays and underglaze colours to emphasise shape and texture and to provide colour. The work, which is all individually made, includes large bowls, nightlights, coasters, mirrors, clocks, jewellery and a large range of buttons.
