Kate Hasted has worked as a freelance fashion print designer for the past nine years, developing hand created textile prints for the New York and London fashion markets.
Her unique and vibrant designs have sold for womens wear, menswear and home furnishings to top fashion houses including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Diane Von Furstenberg, Rachel Taylor, Jones New York and Jaeger to name a few.
Kate uses hand printed effects of screen printing, marbling, shibori and block printing to create abstract designs onto cotton and silk. The development of CAD in Kate's work has enabled her to experiment with repeat design and digital print processes.
In Spring 2011 Kate launched her own range of fashion accessories under her Kate Hasted label at the British Craft Trade Fair where she received lots of attention and praise for her unique prints.
