Jo Angell ran her own Graphic Design company for many years before gaining an MA at Central St Martins in Textile Futures in 2008.
Jo’s award-winning design work now crosses the boundaries of flat surface print for wallpaper and textiles to more three-dimensional laser-cut work.
Taking inspiration from nature, pattern and colour, Jo’s work ranges from award-winning wallpaper for Graham and Brown; an innovative shade canopy commissioned for a Chelsea Flower Show garden (which won a gold medal), through to a prototype window display for Louis Vuitton.
Drawing and hand crafting combined with a high level of experience in materials and new technologies such as digital textile print and laser cutting is always evident in Jo’s work.
Jo enjoys the challenge and personal contact which comes from working to specific briefs and welcomes new commissions and freelance work alongside bespoke product development.
Jo is based in London and works from her garden studio.
