A Summer Encounter with three jewellers from Flux Studios in Camberwell, London.

Jacqui Quinn, Alex Yule and Barbara Yarde come together to reveal their range of alluring handcrafted wares.

Jacqui’s ideas emerge through drawings, photographs, sculpture and the observation of life and its beauty. She delights in sketching the most detailed fragments then explores the shapes through forming metal and sculpting.

Alex draws inspiration from her former influences, a love of beach-combing rocky coastlines and an appreciation of natural forms. She creates delicate silver and gold jewellery with attractive oxidised and enamel surface finishes.

Barbara’s pieces are influenced by her travels and everyday life. She has taken inspiration from such places as India, Morocco, Egypt and London. These places have fuelled her imagination and influenced her jewellery.

Billie M Vigne and Sandra Tepla present:

A PRE AND POST APOCALYPTIC RELIQUARY OF JEWELLERY AND OBJECTS

Jewellery artists Billie M Vigne and Sandra Tepla present a pop up shop of BMV and Tepla Jewellery as well as exclusively unveiling new works concerned with imminent nuclear apocalypse.

“In a time of potential environmental crisis, of huge unrest in the Middle East, of discord between nuclear powers, our generation doesn’t seem worried about the Nuclear Bomb. We are here to sound the TICK-TOCK of the Doomsday clock.”

Billie M Vigne presents X: The Bomb, the Whale and the Phallus, the first piece from new series M.A.D. modelled on Tamil Nadu marriage necklaces. X is a neckpiece and nuclear dowry bequeathed to a future generation. Intricately hand fabricated in brass, bronze, copper and silver, it tells the murky tale of an unstable nightmare-scape in which the whales know and wait; on the cusp of nuclear warfare, the phallus rises and the bomb is dropped.

Sandra Tepla will unveil a new bi-part series of works, Part 1: Human Impulse sees her innately dystopian work grow into painstakingly sewn, futuristic textile structures, exploring empowerment/dominance in a pre-apocalyptic ‘rise before the fall’ Part 2: Someone Else’s Memory feels its way through a nuclear landscape, scavenging for scrap metal and curious objects, building alternate permutations of this reality.

Rare beauties Becky and Barbora return to Clerkenwell with their new and unique jewellery designs.

Becky Dockree Jewellery
Becky Dockree is a British jewellery designer, influenced by her passion for pattern; she uses traditional etching techniques to create eye-catching designs, which conjure up many interpretations with different stories to be told.

The signature-etched designs originate from a series of figurative paintings created by the designer. Every etched design is based on the female form, which has been manipulated to create a series of interlocking shapes, which rotate and spiral across the metals surface.

Barbora Ryborova
Born in Slovakia, Barbora Rybarova studied at London University of Arts CSM College where she graduated in Fine Arts – Sculpture and Installation. Since an early age she’s had a strong passion for visual arts and crafts. Her natural curiosity and desire to learn about new cultures led her to extensive travels in search of new inspirations, techniques and materials.

Thanks to her artistic background, Barbora is able to treat each piece of her jewellery as a sculptural work and she infuses her designs with different cultures and traditions. Her works are original, extravagant and unique as well as elegant. Each piece caries its own story.
