Craft Central

Alexandra is particularly inspired by nature in its realistic and figurative forms. This fascinating world forms the basis of many of her designs. Romance and fantasy are present themes too. The Art Nouveau style influences her, from architecture, to posters such as Alphonse Mucha or jewellers such as René Lalique.

Alexandra works in 18 carat gold and silver. Colour is incorporated through the use of precious and semi-precious stones and glass (miniature cast and carved glass and enamelling).

She specialised in glass for her degree in Art at Surrey University. After graduating, she continued to work in this medium, developing new techniques and applying them on a relatively large scale such as outdoor fountains.

Alexandra started making jewellery in 1999. She trained at St Martins College of Art and Design, Sir John Cass School at London Metropolitan University and Westminster Adult College. She now works as an independent jeweller in London, designing, creating and producing original, contemporary pieces of jewellery which are sold internationally.

Her creations are sold in galleries and she also looks forward to discussing your requirements for commissions.

Winner of Coutts New Jeweller Award 2009 and one of eight jewellery designers selected  by the BJA to show with London Jewellery Exports at Inhorgenta, Munich
